孔紫，毕业于解放军艺术学院美术系。中国国家画院专业画家、国家一级美术师、文化部高级职称评审委员会委员、中国艺术研究院中国画院研究员。中国美术家协会六、七、八届理事。中国女画家协会终身名誉会长、中国画学会理事、全国妇联执委。
代表作《青春华彩》、《秋风》、《微风》、《高粱青青》、《苞谷熟了》、《儿子》、《三伏》、《都市阳光》等作品获第八届全国美展优秀作品、九届全国美展银奖、十届全国美展银奖、文化部群星奖金奖、全国首届中国画大展银奖、庆祝建军75周年美术作品展览金奖、庆祝建军80周年美术作品展览金奖。
孔紫是当代一位很有成就的艺术家。作品在社会上具有重要的影响。
她的画作有一种平和疏朗之气和诗性，在艺术语言上形成了极为鲜明的个人特点。
